Encounter THE GLORY | AUGUST 2026 EDITION
"To one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life." — 2 Corinthians 2:16
This August, Encounter the Glory Magazine dares to ask a question that will linger in your spirit long after you turn the page: What do you smell like to the world around you?
Our lead article, "The Aroma of Christ," shatters passive Christianity. It declares that if you are born again, you are not a perfume bottle carrying a fragrance—you are the fragrance itself. Your redeemed humanity now carries the very spiritual DNA of Jesus. But here is where the mystery deepens: that same sweet scent does not produce the same result in every nose. To the hungry heart seeking salvation, it is the smell of rain after years of drought—hope, peace, and the tender pull of the Father. But to the one running from truth, it is the scent of a battlefield, the sterile sting of a hospital, the unavoidable exposure of sin. Why? Because holiness always exposes rebellion. The difference is not in the aroma—it is in the spiritual condition of the one who smells it. Just as light brings sight to the healthy eye but agony to the diseased, the presence of Christ in you divides, convicts, and transforms.
But this edition is not only about revelation—it is about rescue. Turn to our feature on the Psalm 18 Deliverance, where one family testifies of God stepping into their crisis with the very same template He gave David—earth-shaking, enemy-scattering, chain-breaking power that turned their battle into a victory song.
And for our younger readers, the Teen Voice column brings a clarion call from Victoria Deladem, who writes with a boldness beyond her years: "All the power in the world belongs to God, not Satan. His promises are nothing but deception to drag souls to hell. But you can push him off. Submit to God first—align with His Word and obey—then you can look the enemy in the eye and say NO."
August 2026 is not a month to merely read—it is a month to encounter. A month to smell like Christ. A month to stand delivered. A month to push back the darkness.
Dive in. Let the aroma change you. Let the testimonies strengthen you. And let the glory of God overtake every corner of your life.
Encounter the Glory—where heaven meets earth, page by page.

"As I said, it was widely known that to be a successful reggae artist one needed to have the dreadlocks on. But I quickly learned that having dreadlocks was not just a casual choice; it was not just a fashion statement or something ordinary. To wear dreadlocks for my music career required an initiation ritual into Rastafarianism, by a Rasta Jah-man. As a young ignorant man, I did not understand the weight of that ritual nor what it meant to carry on dreadlocks."

Every testimony reveals the power of Jesus Christ to transform lives.
In this powerful July edition, discover extraordinary true stories of God's saving grace, healing, and deliverance:
From Rastafarian Dreams to God's Divine Calling

"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony." — Revelation 12:11

Blast that Schizopherian Demom out
On May Day 1990, a 26-year-long fight ended when Jesus Christ enabled me to command evil spirits to get out of my life . . . and minutes later I was healed in my mind through the power of God physically penetrating the center of my head.
I was helped in achieving deliverance through the wonderful help and support of Tina Winterburn, now my wife, age 66. I met Tina through a U.K. Christian Dating Agency, (Christian Friendship Fellowship), in the autumn of 1987.
Tina, a former Operation Mobilization missionary and a practice nurse, wanted to walk away from the relationship the day she found out I was schizophrenic. Who could blame her?

STAY AND FIGHT
I met my husband at the age of eighteen on a blind date. He was home from his first season in minor league baseball. We got married when I was twenty-two years old and I saved myself for my husband. Even though he was coming from a background of sexual sin and was trying to change his ways, he still respected what I wanted. He also believed that waiting was valuable to our marriage.

Why bother praying for others
Plus, praying for others does something for you too. It grows your faith, softens your heart and reminds you that you are not alone and neither are they.
First off, let’s clear up the biggest myth about pryer. What is prayer? Prayer is simply talking to God. That’s it. No script needed, and no perfect words required. It’s literally you saying something on your heart or mind to God and knowing He’s listening.
